4G is a Tamil fantasy comedy directed by Venkat Pakkar with G. Prakash Kumar, Gayathri Suresh, Suresh Menon and Sathish. The production of the film started in October 2016.
The film was officially announced in October 2016 with the new director Venkat Pakkar, former Shankar assistant for the 4G project. G. V. Prakash Kumar and Sathish signed a contract for the star of the film and attended the opening ceremony in Chennai that took place in the middle of the month.
Prakash Kumar, along with many other films, including Adangathey, said he would be working on the film. Suresh Menon, who played in several Tamil films in the early 1990s, said he would mark the return of 4G and then join the players until the end of October 2016.
The film was produced in Hyderabad in mid-November 2016. The film was developed in 2017 and the theater performance was postponed to 2018 because Prakash Kumar worked on several projects at the same time.
